For a brief moment, I thought that maybe the feelings that I was having were because I slept on the couch, because I take up more than half the bed and just because I can't sleep doesn't mean my husband shouldn't either, and maybe my back was going out on me.
But then I realized that the feelings that I were having - were coming every 10 minutes.
Like clockwork.
Although I pulled a fun April Fool's Day gag on my mother when I went almost three weeks past her "due date" to arrive on April 20th ... instead of April 1st ... it appears that our fourth child is going to be extremely prompt.
Labor has most definitely started.
And it hurts.
And I have a very low threshold for pain.
Charlie swears that he's having contractions and has been reminding me that my job - through all of this - is to keep him calm.
As if sleeping on the couch hasn't been a grand enough gesture.
One way or the other ... the baby will be here by noon tomorrow.
Of course we still don't have a name picked out.
Like everything else, I suppose we'll cross
(Edit: Is it just my husband or do all of them boil pots of water and threaten to start ripping apart bed sheets?!)

I'm praying for a peaceful birth and sending gentle labor vibes! How exciting!!!!!!
Well, I am so excited for you (and not the least bit jealous!). hahahaha, have you ever seen that Friends episode when Rachel and Phoebe are talking about how they are happy that Monica and Chandler are getting married and that they are only 5% jealous. Then by the end of the conversation they have moved to 20% jealous. hahahaha. I have not gone into labor yet, but I am waiting. Honestly, you did NEED to go into labor before me. you had a closer timetable. Good luck, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Woohoo! If you have this baby ON YOUR DUE DATE, you are the woman or the year!!!!!! Go Nemo! Do it Jen!
I am so excited for you all!
I can't wait to hear all about your quick, easy and painless birth and see a photo of Nemo!

Woo hoo... I just found your blog in a round about way. But as a fellow VBAC mom, I hope you have a great birth!!!
Good luck! Maybe you'll get a Fourth of July baby!!!
Best wishes! Relax and update us when you can!
Ooooooo, so happy to read this. I hope baby #4 is here by now and you are resting with your new bundle :)

The person who said to "enjoy" your labor makes me laugh! I wouldn't exactly call it an enjoyable process! As it is Thursday morning, I certainly hope you have a baby by now. And I hope you got an epidural, all of that breathing and stuff we learned in the class the first time didn't do a thing for me so don't feel bad that you didn't take the class. I can't wait to hear your name choice! Oh, and someone said something about worrying about pooping, so I assume they were talking about pooping on the table when youre pushing. I was really worried about that with my third for some reason, so when I was supposed to be pushing I was totally faking it. They were like push, push! I was like, I am! but I totally wasn't! The baby came out anyway.
argh! It's the 5th and no update :) I hope you had a baby yesterady and that it went great.
Anticipation, Anticipation...
Charlie....? Are you there? Tell us what's up! ;)
Jenna - woohoo!!!
Charlie's working hard on his breathing right now ... trying not to hyperventilate.
And Jen? She's in the middle of a contraction, calling those Kitchen Aid people.
I don't know about their hospital but the San Diego hospital I delivered in made it very difficult for you to bring in a laptop.
Yay!!! It's Thursday 11 your time so I'm freaking out for you. Congratulations if you've already welcomed Son #2 who I don't think you finished naming! Yay!!!
What a GREAT Idea Call Kitchen Aid and between contractions say " I NEED ::Breathe Breathe::: THAT ::Breathe. SNort:: HUFF PUFF:: That DISHWASHER!"
Just stopped by for an update. Hope all is well!!!
I keep checking this blog for an update! The suspense is killing me . . .
